The March, 2009 ID Challenge! contest has come to a close and we have a winner! Zeb Acuff was one of several contestants, and won a $10 donation for his charity of choice! Birder’s Lounge has proudly issued a $10 donation check to Tri-State Bird Rescue in Newark, DE.

Prize-Charitable Donation
Thanks to Zeb, I have learned about another charity dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating birds. I’ve spent some time on their website, and was excited to learn about the work they are doing. Their mission statement:

“The mission of Tri-State Bird Rescue & Research is to achieve excellence in the rehabilitation of injured, orphaned, and oiled native wild birds, with the goal of returning healthy birds to their natural environment. We do this through compassionate care, humane research, and education.”
Tri-State Bird Rescue is also listed at Charity Navigator, a great resource for learning more about many charities and non-profit organizations.
And now, the answers!
