New Do-Gooders Doing Good Things!

Current Pledge

Current Pledge

I am thrilled to announce that the long-stagnant “pot” of funds for the Birder’s Lounge charities has just grown. Thanks to a few more Do-Gooders, the total pledge from Birder’s Lounge to the charities has risen $16.00. Here’s the breakdown:

Charlie, of 10,000 Birds did these Good Things:

  1. HELPED RAISE AWARENESS that everything we do affects the well-being of other creatures
  2. GAVE SOME OF MY OWN HABITAT back to nature
  3. ENGAGED CHILDREN in outdoor activities that helped instill a sense of wonder and excitement about flora and fauna
  4. PLANTED A NATIVE TREE on my property
  5. REDUCED OR ELIMINATED my use of pesticides and synthetic fertilizers
  6. VISITED a state park, national park, or wildlife refuge
  7. IDENTIFIED & LEARNED about one bird that I was unfamiliar with
  8. DONATED TIME OR MONEY to an organization that is dedicated to protecting and preserving habitats and wildlife

Thanks, Charlie – you have earned $8 for Birder’s Lounge wildlife rehabilitation charities.

Next, we have Russell Constable of Ella Bay Forever, doing the following Good Things:

  1. HELPED RAISE AWARENESS that everything we do affects the well-being of other creatures,
  2. GAVE SOME OF MY OWN HABITAT back to nature,
  3. ENGAGED CHILDREN in outdoor activities that helped instill a sense of wonder and excitement about flora and fauna,
  4. PLANTED A NATIVE TREE on my property,
  5. REDUCED OR ELIMINATED my use of pesticides and synthetic fertilizers,
  6. VISITED a state park, national park, or wildlife refuge,
  7. IDENTIFIED & LEARNED about one bird that I was unfamiliar with,
  8. DONATED TIME OR MONEY to an organization that is dedicated to protecting and preserving habitats and wildlife

Awesome, Russell! Thanks to you too, for helping build up the funds that will be split between the International Bird Rescue Research Center and Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation at the end of the year.

If you are reading this and see a few actions that you have taken to help the planet, please check them off and earn a few dollars for these impressive charities. If you know of someone who would like to Do Good and let their Do-Gooding earn cash for wildlife charities, please spread the word.

Thanks everyone.
