Delightful! These birds are always skittish, so I’ve yet to get any reasonable photos of them. I’m so jealous of yours. They’re such handsome birds.
I agree, Jason – very handsome birds. The first day of my trip, I saw 3 in a field, 2 of them mating. Too bad I was driving by at 60mph! The next day I idled down the shoulder of the road for about 7 miles, with these photos to show for it. I definitely didn’t see the caracaras while out on the trails.
