Birder’s Lounge

About

My name is Amber Coakley, founder of Birder’s Lounge and resident of Texas. I am endlessly entertained by nature, and have really gone ga-ga for birds. I use a camera instead of binoculars or a scope, and share my adventures here at Birder’s Lounge.

My goal is to share the wonders I see and to have you smiling as you read my commentary. I try to write like I like to read - long enough to be worth the visit, short enough to NOT feel like work, and plenty of eye-candy.

Oh, and I’m BENT on helping wildlife, especially those creatures who are hurt or endangered by people. “Web of life” and all that - I can handle…but people hurting animals, intentionally or not, gets my goat. So, Birder’s Lounge officially supports two wildlife rescue and rehabilitation charities - International Bird Rescue Research Center (IBRRC) and Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation (WRR). See their logo links featured prominently on the Home page!
